Merry Christmas!
We count ourselves lucky to have such an incredible army of WorldWanderlusters following our blog. As much fun as it is to take these awesome next-to-free trips ourselves, it’s just as cool to hear about your adventures in frequent flyer mile travel.
We’d like to offer a token of our gratitude – something we’ve found to be extremely handy. If you’re like me, you seek to simplify, and one of the ways I’ve simplified my accounting (keeping track of all the frequent flyer mile cards and spending requirements), is to carry only one or two cards at a time. For almost two years now, I’ve carried my iPhone 4 in a brilliant credit card holder case. People ask about it all.the.time.
Now we want you to have one. This isn’t a cheesy contest, where you have no chance of winning. If you’re here and you’re reading this, and you are a wanderluster, you already won! Just post a comment below telling us where your next trip is and how you’re getting there, and we’ll mail you one for your iPhone 4 or iPhone 5.

Traveling to Thailand, staying at the Conrad Ko Samui on points, staying in Bangkok also and excited for the street food. Would LOVE the iPhone 5 case!
David- Oooh… what a trip! We posted a while ago about a Starwood Resort in Chiang Rai. The world is your oyster. Live it up.
We’ll email you for your address and send off the iPhone 5 case.
Brad
Sweet, thanks guys for the great content that you generate and this practical gift for my iPhone5 that you’re offering. In ten days I am going to snowy Switzerland to spend Xmas with the family. Getting there on the big A380 of Lufthansa, so that should be fun. The return for New Years is via Montreal for a day with Air Canada and on to Boston with my sister for the festivities. All done with UA miles and I am so looking forward to it all!
Aptraveler- Sounds like a great trip! There’s no bad time to visit Switzerland, Montreal, or Boston. Those UA miles sure come in handy.
We’ll email you to get your address and send out the iPhone 5 case.
Best wishes,
Brad
Awesome! Your site is the one that got our family started in the wanderlusting mode. So, thanks for that! I just took my family of 5 to an amazing beach in Florida for (almost!) free using Southwest points. My husband and I are going to Costa Rica in February and hope we love it as much as you guys do.
Shara- We love hearing that! Trust us, you will love Costa Rica. Have you already seen our “Eight Great Days in Costa Rica” itinerary? https://worldwanderlusting.com/2011/11/01/eight-great-days-in-costa-rica-part-i-of-ii/
Can’t wait to hear about your trip. Would you ever want to do a guest post?
Which case would you like and we’ll email you for your address.
Thanks and keep wanderlusting!
Thanks! I’d love the Iphone 4 case.
When I began planning our trip I shared your post on eight great days in Costa Rica with my husband. It totally convinced him that we had to get there!
We have just begun wanderlusting, and don’t have any set plans. We are building up points and miles to take our kids to either Disneyland or Disneyworld. We are also planning a trip to Hawaii!
Amanda- We love to hear it! Kids obviously love Disneyland and who doesn’t dream of Hawaii? I’m sure you’ve already read our How to get to Hawaii for Free post: https://worldwanderlusting.com/2012/08/05/hawaii-frequent-flyer-miles/
Would you like the 4 or the 5? We’ll email you for your address.
Brad
I would like the iphone 4 case. Thanks!
I enjoy your blog and all of your advice!
Planning a trip to China for next year. Looking at using our United miles and Ultimate Rewards points.
Davey-B- Never been to China. Ashamed to say it. I hope you make it happen and post your pics to our facebook page.
Thanks for wanderlusting with us.
Do you want the 4 or the 5?
Brad
My wife and I are planning a February trip to Hawaii. We will be using ff miles to get us to Hawaii but we will have to pay (ugh!) for the island hopping. Our hotel stays are booked with points. We are looking forward to this early 2013 getaway. By the way, we have your blog plugged into our Google Reader so we don’t miss a beat! We have the iPhone 4. Thanks!
James- That’s awesome! What FF program are you using? Did you read this post: https://worldwanderlusting.com/2012/08/05/hawaii-frequent-flyer-miles/
RSS feed is the way to go. Thanks for following. I’ll send you an email to get your address.
Brad
Our next trip is in April back to Dingle Ireland and then to Germany on FREE American Airline mile and free hotel stays. We both have Iphone 4
Thanks
Kevin – I want to hear more about Dingle Ireland? One of my ideas is to take my wife on a horseback overnighter through the irish countryside. I looked it up quickly and I’m intrigued.
Sounds like you need two iPhone 4 cases. Will you email your address to worldwanderlusting@gmail.com?
Hi! I’m enjoying Puerto Rico at the moment, flying to spend my holidays with my boyfriend who’s stationed in South Carolina. Excited to be in slightly colder weather during the holidays:) Thanks for the giveaway!!!
Anna- We love your adventures! Talk about someone who knows how to take a picture. I was actually in Naples at the same time as you back in September. PR sounds fun. Keep taking the great pics and we’ll send you a case. Merry Christmas!
To Logan, UT for an anniversary trip, it’s where we got married. I’ve got an Iphone 4 thanks!
Kevin- Happy Anniversary! We’d love to send you a case. Will you please email your address to worldwanderlusting@gmail.com?
My daughter and I are backpacking through Europe this summer. Two days after she graduates from high school, we head for 2 weeks of adventure.
Using Delta points for me and 2x Capital One Card points for her, we fly to the wonderful underrated city of Frankfurt, Germany. We will be there just in time for their huge street festival they hold every June. It is a perfect starting point for a European Vacation.
We will be getting the Eurail Global pass that lets you travel all over Europe in first class. The rails in Europe are fantastic and you can get almost anywhere easily and quickly. They are one of my favorite parts of Europe and I highly recommend them to anyone. You arrive completely refreshed to each destination and enjoy fantastic scenery between destinations.
We will be traveling through Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Great Britain and will finish off with a flight from Dublin back to the states.
We love to stay at small family bed and breakfasts such as the ones recommended by Rick Steves. However, we are going to use our starwood points also.
You guys are doing a great job with this site and I love to stop in and see what new articles you have. I just got the Chase Bold business card last week and continue to pile up the rewards where ever available. Thanks for all your thoughts and ideas.
If you still have any iPhone 5 cases, I would love one.
Dan- Ok, I’m green with envy. That sounds like a great trip – and with your daughter, nonetheless. That is so cool. Any tips for getting a good deal on the Eurail passes? I’ve looked a few times and never felt like they were cheap enough – of course, I am the definition of cheap.
Love, love, love bed and breakfasts. Especially when the hosts are personable (which they usually are).
Could you email your mailing address to worldwanderlusting@gmail.com?
Thanks so much and safe travels.
Brad
There may be slightly cheaper ways to travel but in my opinion, nothing beats the convenience and gives less stress than traveling through Europe by train. Rick Steves has a discount on his site right now but it is only through March.
What the Global pass gives you is freedom to do whatever you want, when you want. I’ll give you a little example. I was in Amsterdam with my wonderful wife (having a slice of the best pizza I have ever had) and she tells me she wants to hit a warm beach for a couple days. We decide to head to Vernazza, Italy. We figure we will get a bed on the train and travel that night. We went to the train station in Amsterdam to book our bed and the line is taking forever. So, since we have our global pass we just walk over to the trains and find one that is headed to Frankfurt, Germany and get on. We found a nice cabin in first class and off we went. When we arrived in Frankfurt, they booked our bed in a matter of minutes and we were off to Italy.
The next morning we woke up in Italy, refreshed and ready for another great day in Europe.
Wow, thank you. Love the site. Off to PUJ in Jan for some Panic!
The iPhone 5 please, thank you!
John- Can’t go wrong in the DR. I have a good friend who runs a zipline and tourism shop in Samana. If you head that way, check out http://www.samanazipline.com

Wow, thank you. Love the site. Off to PUJ in Jan for some Widespread Panic! Currently researching your site for the best strategy for business class flights.
The iPhone 5 please, thank you!
To NYC to celebrate a friend’s birthday! With my handy dandy iPhone 4 😉
Ak- Safe travels!

I’m heading to Peru/Bolivia/Chile in January! I used American Airlines miles to book my flight to Lima and found a cheap one-way flight back to the US. With the exception of a couple domestic flights, I’ll be traveling via bus between cities for the most part. I’m very excited to explore Machu Picchu, the stunning Uyuni salt flats, and the “lunar” landscapes in San Pedro de Atacama, in addition to various other areas along the way. It’ll be great to practice my spanish and indulge in cerviche too!
I’m also excited for Iceland in March, thanks to a flight sale by IcelandicAir. I’ve heard it’ll be chilly, but amazingly beautiful. Plus, apparently there’s opportunities to go scuba diving in the fissure between the two techtonic plates of N. America and Europe–so amazing.
The iphone case looks so useful — I would love the iphone 5 case, please!
Crystal! You got the juices flowing. I’ve always wanted to visit Iceland, but now you’ve got me very intrigued. I keep looking for unique scuba opportunities. Not that I’ve exhausted the traditional, but there’s an underwater world out there that needs to be explored, too!
Te esperamos mucha suerte en el viaje a sudamerica. Bolivia siempre me ha llamado. Por favor nos pones fotos en nuestra pagina de facebook?

We are going to surprise our children with a trip to Tokyo Disney in June/July. Thanks to you guys we have racked up so many FFM with the delta AMEX, and feel that were ready to use them!
When I came across your blog 9 months ago I thought it was a bit of a joke, but now I recommend this site to all my family and friends. And because of our recent move for work were even more excited to travel to places we have only dreamed of (australia, new zealand, thailand, guam). It was hard to convince my wife at first but now she is loving how much of a reality it will be. Thanks!
When my phone gets shipped here I could really use the iPhone 5 case. Thanks again!
Tyson-
That’s exactly what we want to hear! I know it doesn’t feel right, but it is so, so much fun. People have a hard time grasping just how cool it is.
Best of luck with your travels.
Email worldwanderlusting@gmail.com your mailing address and we’ll get it out.
Brad
I’ve enjoyed your site. Thanks to some of the tips on here, I’m using some United miles to fly my wife and me in business class to Europe next summer and stay in some of the Starwood properties listed on your “Starwood Loop” post. We’ve never been to Europe, so are really looking forward to it. I could use the iPhone 4 case as well to keep all my points-earning cards!
Jake-
Yee-haa! We’ve loved the Europe Loop. That has been one of our most successful posts.

I have been collecting points for about 6 months through churning and haven’t done too much lately. Having points does come in handy. I went with a friend (who collects bobbleheads) to Atlanta over the for Sid Bream bobble head day and was able to use Marriott points for a Residence Inn and SW points for the flight. I’ve learned so much from follow your blog as well as about 5 others and feel like i’m still a beginner! I don’t have my next trip planned out yet, but I’m thinking about a solo trip to South America or Ireland. Do you have suggestions on either or places that are good solo trips? Thanks for great posts and the education!!
Rich
@Rich- We’re glad to hear that you’re a worldwanderluster. Our objective is to show you not only how to accumulate the points, but efficient ways of spending those points too. Both South America and Ireland would be dreamy destinations for a family, couple, or someone traveling solo. Let’s be honest..when you’re traveling, things are good.
How much time are you going to allot yourself for the trip? Do you speak Espanol, or feel comfortable trying? We’ll get together some ideas and shoot them back to you if you can let us know your timeframe.
Continue to share our posts with your friends, and our facebook posts 🙂
Sheldon,
I’d say I’d probably be late spring (around April or May). I’d appreciate ideas and feedback. You are right…half the battle is accumulating points/miles and the other half is figuring out how to use them in an efficient manner. For example, I’ve got 100,000 avios points. Part of me wants to use them on a business class flight. The other part of me sees how many domestic flights I could take by using them.
Are you guys still giving away the Iphone cases?
Rich
I left out this tidbit, I’d probably have about 10 days or so for the trip.
@Rich- So much depends on where you live. If you have direct flights on LAN to Lima, Buenos Aires, or Quito, then that would be rather tempting to me. One nice thing about South America is that the hotel points aren’t needed because you can generally find reasonable hotels for affordable prices. You might also consider using http://www.couchsurfing.org for places to stay if you’re single. Now that I’m married with a child that is a much more difficult thing to do. So take advantage of that if you can.
The thought of the beaches of Peru, Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca with the floating villages, the Bolivian Altiplano all sound probably the most attractive to me if I were a solo traveler. Traveling with a wife and kids would definitely be possible, but maybe not easy in those situations.
I’ve never been to Ireland, but dream of making it there soon. I just struggle using BA to go to Europe because their fuel surcharges are more expensive than buying a really cheap flight. That definitely discourages me from taking BA to Europe.
Rich- yes, just put in your information here: https://worldwanderlusting.com/getting-started/i-want-a-free-iphone-credit-card-case/
We just came back from San Francisco/San Jose/Sacramento, CA and our next trip will be to Orlando, FL.
Nice. So glad you’re already planning the next trip. That’s how to do it. I’m excited to announce that my next trip will be to the hospital when we will meet our baby girl for the first time. Never been so excited to take a trip across town.
