My wife just applied for the Starwood Preferred Guest American Express because the promotion was coming to a close.\u00a0 She was instantly approved.\u00a0 This is only her third card in the last year, so we take it pretty slow.\u00a0 We are cautious and carefully monitor our credit.\u00a0 She was at a 775 last month.\u00a0 I’ll let you know what it looks like once this processes.<\/p>\n

We wanted to make sure that we took advantage of the deal because we plan on using the card to Travel to Europe<\/a>, Stay at the Salt Lake Sheraton<\/a>, and hopefully using the SPG Amex right before a cruise<\/a> someday.\u00a0 It expires today, and who knows when it will come back around again.<\/p>\n

I’ve never heard of anyone coming back for the miles that are accrued with another company.\u00a0 That is the whole beauty of this process.\u00a0 We can score tons of points and miles without paying a dime.\u00a0 Some card will require you to have an upfront annual fee, but just make sure that it is worth it to you.<\/p>\n
