{"id":821,"date":"2011-08-05T09:13:19","date_gmt":"2011-08-05T15:13:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/?p=821"},"modified":"2011-08-29T10:23:12","modified_gmt":"2011-08-29T16:23:12","slug":"wanderlusting-roatan-honduras","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/?p=821","title":{"rendered":"Wanderlusting: Roatan, Honduras"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As much as I enjoyed diving in St. Kitts, $120 for two dives was a little tough, even if the dive operator was a Boise State Bronco fan.<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, I&#8217;m wanderlusting\u00a0of Roatan, Honduras, daydreaming of $35 scuba diving, white sand beaches, and turquoise blue water&#8230; this and it&#8217;s still 90 degrees at home?\u00a0 What will it be like when we have winter blizzards with sub-zero temps?<\/p>\n<p>I have a good friend who&#8217;s going to be in Honduras for work, and, as any responsible wanderluster would do, he&#8217;s trying to tack a nice vacation\u00a0on the end of his business trip.<\/p>\n<p>I put some tickets on hold\u00a0at American Airlines for 30,000 miles and $27 in fees, now the harder task of convincing my wife&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/worldwanderlusting.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/08\/copan.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-822\" title=\"Copan\" src=\"http:\/\/worldwanderlusting.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/08\/copan.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"198\" \/><\/a>If all goes as planned, we&#8217;ll see the Mayan\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thisishonduras.com\/Copan_Ruinas.htm\">ruins of Copan<\/a>, we&#8217;ll laze on the beach and I&#8217;ll catch up on reading The Fountainhead, and I&#8217;ll finally have the shark diving experience I&#8217;ve been begging for.<\/p>\n<p>If any of you have been to Honduras and have any other ideas for me, I&#8217;d like to hear them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/track.linkoffers.net\/a.aspx?foid=2865931&amp;fot=9999&amp;foc=2\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/content.linkoffers.net\/SharedImages\/Products\/163454\/523591.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As much as I enjoyed diving in St. Kitts, $120 for two dives was a little tough, even if the dive operator was a Boise State Bronco fan.
