{"id":5177,"date":"2013-12-05T07:38:29","date_gmt":"2013-12-05T14:38:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/?p=5177"},"modified":"2013-12-04T21:38:55","modified_gmt":"2013-12-05T04:38:55","slug":"maximizing-united-miles-to-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/?p=5177","title":{"rendered":"Maximizing United Miles to Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two weeks ago I posted about how\u00a0<a title=\"Booking a Stopover With American Airlines\" href=\"https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/2013\/11\/21\/booking-stopover-american-airlines\/\">American Airlines allows for a single stopover when going to Europe<\/a>. \u00a0If you&#8217;re the &#8220;fat kid underneath the pi\u00f1ata&#8221; when it comes to travel, like Brad and I, you&#8217;ll be stoked to hear this news. \u00a0In order to maximize your United Miles going to Europe you&#8217;ll definitely want to read this post.<\/p>\n<h2>Using United Miles to go to Europe<\/h2>\n<p>Looking at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.united.com\/web\/en-US\/content\/news\/United-Award-Chart-02-01-14.pdf\">United Airlines award chart<\/a>, it will normally cost 30,000 <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"MileagePlus\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/MileagePlus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">MileagePlus<\/a> miles each way, or 60,000 for the round trip from the US to Europe. \u00a0It&#8217;ll take you forever to fly enough miles to accrue 60k, but when you&#8217;re worldwanderlusting with us it&#8217;ll be EASY!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Screen-Shot-2013-12-03-at-10.45.07-PM.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"MileagePlus Europe\" src=\"https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Screen-Shot-2013-12-03-at-10.45.07-PM.png\" width=\"688\" height=\"174\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Booking the Stopover with Miles to Europe<\/h2>\n<p>1. Pick your two preferred European spots first. \u00a0This will be one of the more difficult decisions.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re like me, you want to go everywhere so you&#8217;ll spend quite a bit of time deciding your locations. For this example I&#8217;ll say that you would love to see both Paris and Istanbul. \u00a0One for romance, and the other for adventure.
