Where we visited Missoula, Lake Pend Orielle, and drove into British Columbia. \u00a0<a title=\"BAR 2011 (Big Awesome Ride) Part 2\" href=\"https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/2012\/05\/30\/bar-2011-big-awesome-ride-part-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">The 2011 BAR part 2<\/a> entailed the trip home which passed us through Banff, the Caniniskus Highway, Waterton, Glacier, Flathead Lake, and home.<\/p>\n<p>This time this was our agenda:<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4798\" style=\"width: 542px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture-8.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4798\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4798\" alt=\"motorlust\" src=\"https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture-8.jpg\" width=\"532\" height=\"528\" srcset=\"https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture-8.jpg 532w, https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture-8-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/worldwanderlusting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Picture-8-300x297.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 532px) 100vw, 532px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-4798\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Route for the BAR 2013<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It would only be a three day ride, which meant that we averaged about 320 miles per day, which is the perfect amount in my book. \u00a0Too many miles and you&#8217;re exhausted and grumpy, too few miles and you&#8217;re not taking full advantage of your time off.<\/p>\n<h2>Get Off the Interstate<\/h2>\n<p>Toward the end of his time in Radiator Springs, Lightning McQueen realizes that it is nice to slow down from time to time. \u00a0He sees the value in a place like Radiator Springs as a relaxing place where you can still see life at a slower pace. \u00a0More than likely your lives are like mine: busy, busy, busy. \u00a0Sometimes I need a &#8220;Lightning McQueen moment&#8221; and taking a bike trip does just that.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll notice on the map above that we took very little Interstate Highways. \u00a0Of the 949 miles we drove, only 24 miles on the Interstate.<\/p>\n<p>We passed through towns like Terreton, Stites, Lowell, and more. \u00a0These were small towns that still had good homestyle cooking. \u00a0I had some of the best onion rings I&#8217;ve ever had at a restaurant in Stites, Idaho. \u00a0When we stopped in Leadore we took a quick stroll around town, which didn&#8217;t take long as they&#8217;ve only got about 5 streets, but we found a beautiful chapel that looked like the one on Guns n&#8217;
